Valeo supplies the initial equipment as well as the retrofit equipment market. With € 9.4 billion in sales (2004) Valeo is on of the best automotive suppliers worldwide.
Valeo is a gloably active company with 67,300 employees in 129 locations, with 65 research and development centres and 9 distribution centres for the aftermarket in 26 countries. We can count some of the most well-known automotive manufacturers in Europe, North America, South America and Asia as our clients in the initial equipment market. In the retrofit equipment market Valeo supplies merchants and service-centre in more than 100 countries.
Valeos strategy for a cost-effective growth is mostly controlled through innovations. More than 5,000 engineers and qualified technicans work in our research and development department. 2004 over 6% of our earnings were re-invested into this sector.
The Group is devided into 12 working departments and one retail and original spare parts department.
In Germany Valeo is represented by 5,300 employees in 7 locations as well as 5 research and development centres as well as an authority in the fields wiper systems, switch and detection systems, air conditioning, motors and acutators as well as safety systems.
